Highly cited Australian female researchers will be recognised for their outstanding contribution to research. Please join in the celebration for these highly esteemed women of researcher, and hear their views and perspectives of Australian research.

Hosted by Professor Brian Schmidt, Vice-Chancellor of the ANU, himself a recipient in 2008, speakers will include, Dr Susan Pond, a member of Science in Australia Gender Equity (SAGE) program and her national and international contributions in medicine, biotechnology and renewable energy and Dr Wafa El-Adhami who leads the Science in Australia Gender Equity (SAGE) Initiative for Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering.

While high impact researchers have been recognised in award ceremonies since 2001, these are the first awards to focus on Australian women researchers.

You can come to the awards by registering at  Women in Research Citation Awards.

Following on from the awards presentation, a special event for Early career women academics and women students will be held in the China in the World Seminar room from 1.30 to 3pm. Several award winners will discuss how they reached the positions they now occupy. Take this opportunity to ask them questions and discuss their pathways to successful research in Australia.
