Join me on my journey towards better understanding – Core Cultural Learning course with NECTAR

In October, I will begin a journey towards better understanding and I would like to invite a small group of ECAs to join me. Each week, we will complete two modules of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia Foundation Course (also known as Core Cultural Learning), and then come together for a group session for further reflection and discussion.

Course 1 is already fully booked but expressions of interest are open for a second group for which the group sessions will be on Thursdays 1-2pm, starting 1 October.  Participants will be expected to complete two modules before coming to the group sessions. Total time commitment is estimated to be 3 hours/week for five weeks plus 1 hour in week 6 for a final group session. By default, the group sessions will be held via Zoom but we could explore options to meet face-to-face for some of the sessions.

If you would like to come on this journey with me, please register your interest here. Placements are strictly limited to keep the size of the group small, which I hope will help foster connectivity and trust. Note, I am not an expert. I am embarking on this journey to gain greater awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history and experience.

I look forward to going on this journey with you.

Cheers, Hannah
