NECTAR Mentoring Program 2018–2020
The NECTAR Mentoring Program was developed by the Joint Colleges of Science Early Career Academic Development Committee in 2015-2017. In collaboration with this committee, the inaugural NECTAR Mentoring Program was delivered ANU-wide in 2018. Since then, more than 330 Mentees received mentoring and career support through the program.

The program fostered interdisciplinary connections and collaborations. More than 80% of the mentoring relationships were interdisciplinary and many of the program participants have build connections to other areas at ANU.
Mentees in the program have achieved tangible outcomes and 90% of Mentees and Mentors had a positive experience in the program. Increased confidence, a more strategic approach to career management and improved happiness at work were only a few of the benefits experienced by Mentees.
