NECTAR Forum 2019

 

More than 80 early- and mid-career teachers and researchers (EMCAs) from ANU came together on 2 July 2019 for a direct collegial discussion with the University Executive on how EMCAs can be nurtured to be the leaders of the future.

  • Panel discussion on "How will ANU nurture its EMCAs to ensure that ANU is a high-impact university?" with Associate Professor Sara Bice from the Crawford School of Public Policy, CSIRO Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley, Dean of the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science Professor Elanor Huntington, Chief Defence Scientist Tanya Monro and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Professor Keith Nugent.

  • World Café-style discussion on gender disparity in career progression, intersectional diversity, casual staff inclusion, non-academic careers, research and workplace culture and new methods for research.
