NECTAR, the Network for Early-Career Teachers, Academics and Researchers at the Australian National University, was founded in 2011 by a group of early-career academics. While its core functions are now supported by paid staff, NECTAR still depends on early- and mid-career university worker volunteers to determine, develop and support its strategic and practical work. These active members are called Custodians, and they and the broader network are led by elected Co-chairs.
If you would like to become part of our nationally unique body for the recognition, networking, development and support of early-career university workers at the ANU, click the button above to read more about what Custodians and Co-chairs do, and then submit an expression of interest.
You can still attend NECTAR events without being a Custodian, but as a Custodian you will have increased visibility and formal recognition of your expertise and authority on the needs and experiences of early-career university workers, opening doors for collaboration, appointments, career advancement and skill development.
