All ECAs at ANU are now represented by the NECTAR Co-Chairs!
Congratulations to Rebecca Gidley, Umme Habiba Hossain, Claudia Munera and Mohammad Saadatfar (from left to right) who have been endorsed by the NECTAR Custodians as the first Co-Chairs of NECTAR!
These fantastic ECAs have self-nominated to lead the Network on behalf of all ECAs at ANU and to give it a strong voice in academic governance. No additional nominations were received; an election is therefore not required.

Registrations for Collaboration across Boundaries 2018 now open!
The Collaboration across Boundaries 2018 Conference, supported by the Theo Murphy Initiative (Australia), aims to create a space where early- and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) from ALL disciplines can explore opportunities that collaborations can create for their research.
The Collaboration across Boundaries 2018 Conference will be held on Tuesday 4 December 2018 and is open to researchers and representatives from universities, government and the private sector. Postgraduate and research students are welcome to attend.
The conference will be preceded by a skills development workshop on Tuesday 20 November 2018.
Presented by NECTAR, the Network for Early Career Academics at ANU, CSIRO and the Australian Academy of Science.

Do you have what it takes to be a leader? Nominations for NECTAR Co-Chairs now open!
At the NECTAR AGM on 25 July 2018, NECTAR decided to change its leadership structure and appoint three Co-Chairs to give the Network a stronger voice in academic governance. If you would like to gain real leadership experience and help the Network to grow even stronger, self-nominate today by sending an nectar@anu.edu.au briefly outlining why you would like to become a NECTAR Co-Chair. ALL ECAs employed by or affiliated with ANU with strong commitment to NECTAR are invited to self-nominate. Nominations close 14 October 2018. If more than three nominations are received, an online poll will be conducted in October.

At the NECTAR Forum 2018, Vice-Chancellor Brian Schmidt invited NECTAR to propose a list of seven changes which NECTAR would like to work on collaboratively. Join us on Thursday 16 August, 12-1pm, at Fellows Cafe to brainstorm our list of seven!
